Nguyen Quang Minh, born 1970 in the Hai Duong Province Vietnam, was awarded with a Diploma of Art in the early 1990s, and then in 2004, a Master of Fine Art from Hanoi Fine Art University.
Minh treasures the memories of childhood where attitudes and lifestyles then were generally simple, carefree but at the same time, full of dreams and hopes. He expresses these emotions through the use of minimalist lines of imagery children, flowers, grass and buffalos to create a sense of innocence, happiness and aspirations in his paintings.
In Minh’s own words:
“My works, by and large, are compliments to the peaceful spaces, which to me are the very simple but invaluable gift of life. My inspirations for such works rooted both in my appeal for ideal spaces, and the recollection of memories. And memories are usually reconstructed without a beginning or an end. To me, art is no other than the sharing of memories and aspirations.”

Minh has held several solo-exhibitions in Vietnam, and in recent years, participated in group-exhibitions in Singapore, Thailand and Germany.
